Since the outbreak of the conflict, Mwatana for Human Rights has documented hundreds of incidents of enforced disappearance by all parties to the conflict in various regions of Yemen. Mwatana also provided legal support to hundreds of victims of this violation and contributed to revealing the fate of dozens. "Enforced disappearance" refers to the arrest, detention, abduction, or any other form of deprivation of liberty committed by State agents, persons, or groups of individuals acting with the permission, support, or consent of the State. This is followed by a refusal to acknowledge the deprivation of a person's liberty or to conceal the fate or whereabouts of the disappeared person, thereby removing the person from the protection of the law.
