"Chalk Dust" is a new documentary produced by Mwatana for Human Rights on the impact of armed conflict on #education in #Yemen.
The documentary lists testimonies from students, teachers, and parents, and highlights the problems of school dropout, child recruitment, the dangers resulting from armed clashes and the deteriorating security situation, and the impact of the deteriorating economic situation on education, such as salary cuts. The documentary contains figures and statistics from "Mwatana" report "Undermining the Future: Attacks of Warring Parties on #Yemen's #Schools" released in August 2020, and "Mwatana" study "War of Ignorance: Field Study on the Impact of Armed Conflict on Access to #Education in Yemen" released in January 2021.
