The number of casualties from the Israeli airstrikes on Al-Hudaydah city has increased.

Mwatana for Human Rights stated that its initial information indicates that the number of victims admitted to Al-Hudaydah hospitals has risen to approximately 80 injured so far, after Israeli fighter jets carried out six dual attacks on Saturday evening (5:50 PM) on Al-Hudaydah city in western Yemen. The attacks targeted oil facilities, fuel tanks, a pier, and "cranes" in  Al-Hudaydah port, as well as the central power generation station in the Al-Kathib area, Salif district, causing the power stations supplying Al-Hudaydah city, to go out of service and massive fires to break out in the vicinity of the attacks.

Mwatana stated that the Israeli attacks on the vital civilian infrastructure in Al-Hudaydah city on this evening constitute a war crime that will have humanitarian repercussions that will exacerbate the crisis experienced by millions of civilians in Yemen.

Mwatana's initial information indicates that there is an unknown number of fatalities still under the rubble, and rescue teams have been unable to retrieve them due to the ongoing widespread fires for hours.

Meanwhile, the capital Sana'a and other Yemeni cities are witnessing a state of panic over the consequences of these attacks, the first manifestations of which appeared in the influx of citizens to fuel stations after the announcement of the attack, as a precautionary measure for fear of an expected fuel and oil derivatives crisis, in a way that summarizes the state of suffering and anxiety experienced by Yemenis amid the security developments and the state of escalation that Yemen is on the brink of.
