The Board of Trustees of Mwatana Holds an Extraordinary Meeting

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the Board of Trustees of Mwatana for Human Rights convened an extraordinary meeting, with the participation of the senior management team, represented by the organization's Chairperson, Radhya Al-Mutawakel, Vice Chairperson, Abdulrasheed Al-Faqih, Executive Director, Mohammed As-Selwi, and the administrative body of the organization, represented by the directors of various units and departments.

Members of the Board of Trustees attended the meeting remotely from their respective locations via Zoom. Meanwhile, the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson joined the meeting via Zoom from the organization’s office in the political capital, The Hague, while the executive management and administrative body participated from the organization’s headquarters in Sana’a.

It is worth noting that Mwatana’s Board of Trustees consists of seven members with diverse expertise and qualifications related to human rights, hailing from different nationalities. Under the organization’s bylaws, the Board plays a supervisory and oversight role, including approving reports, policies, plans, and decisions, as well as reviewing and endorsing the organization’s general objectives and strategy. Additionally, the Board undertakes various tasks aimed at ensuring the organization’s full commitment to its vision, mission, goals, and adherence to its core values and principles.
