These fabrications falsely accuse the organization of adopting positions that contradict its principles and values.
Mwatana unequivocally supports the right of every individual to migrate and seek asylum under all circumstances, without restriction or condition. The organization has never issued any statement that contravenes this principle. Furthermore, Mwatana has not provided any testimony to the Dutch government or any other government or entity regarding the situation in Yemen that conflicts with the findings and information it publishes in its reports, studies, and statements available on its website. These regularly updated publications underscore the ongoing deterioration of human rights conditions across all Yemeni regions.
In contrast, the internationally recognized government portrays the situation in areas under its control as stable and free from violations and crises—claims that are inconsistent with reality. The conditions in these regions are comparable to those in areas under the control of the Ansar Allah (Houthi) group.
Mwatana reaffirms its unwavering position in support of every individual’s right to move freely to any location of their choice in pursuit of safety, stability, and access to high-quality living conditions, whether during times of active military conflict or in periods of temporary or permanent cessation of hostilities.
The organization also emphasizes its commitment to ongoing discussions with Yemeni stakeholders in diaspora communities, host governments, civil society organizations specializing in refugee issues, and relevant international institutions. Mwatana welcomes any inquiries or discussions on matters within its professional scope.
